Peregrinate Employs Counsellor Kellie Mawdsley

Peregrinate School have worked closely with Kellie Mawdsley to provide counselling to a number of students over several years. These sessions proved so successful not only for the students but also their family, friends and of course schooling and learning, we decided to offer Kellie a position at Peregrinate School as our resident Counsellor.

Kellie has been practicing for many years. She has experience of working with adults, children and families; counselling a variety of issues. Kellie adapts and adjusts her sessions to ensure that the client get what they want and need from each counselling session. She work extensively with clients to explore and understand their fears and distress, encouraging them to move forward at their pace. Working at clients preferred speed they will not be forced to work on something that they are not comfortable discussing.

Kellie provides compassionate, challenging and insightful support throughout a clients journey. Her belief is that with the right tools, empathic support and personal determination clients can live their life to the fullest. Adding to this Kellie currently works with trauma at Aintree University Hospital specialising with patients and family’s dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

Kellie’s  training is to degree level, she completed a BSc in integrative counselling. Alongside this she has completed extensive Continual Professional Development. Her latest endeavour is to become an accredited  EMDR specialist.

Kellie continues to push her personal boundaries in the hopes of gaining more insight with which she can travel with a client.
