If your child is taken ill during the school day, you or your nominated person will be contacted.
Any injuries will be treated with care and entered into our accident book, if we feel it is appropriate we will contact parent/carers, all parents will receive notification that First Aid has been administered.
Any child who is sick should be kept off school for 48 hours after their last bout of sickness/illness.
Medicine in school
It is the responsibility of parents/carers to inform the school of their child’s medical needs before the student joins the school, or as soon as a new medical condition is diagnosed.
Only medicine prescribed by a GP will be given to learners. The medicine must have a printed label stating your child’s name and the dosage required and at what time the medicine needs to be administered. A Medication form must be completed and given to school staff prior to medication being given to your child, all other medication should be given at home.
School Nurse
Peregrinate has its own school nurse who holds drop in clinics. Learners, parents/carers can make an appointment to see the nurse during one of these clinics. If you have any concerns, please contact a member of staff or alternately the school nurse on Tel: 0151 319 4646.
