Lifestyles Sports and Wellbeing part of our curriculum

Lifestyles Sports and Wellbeing has become part of our new curriculum. As a welcome back to the new term Peregrinate have enrolled all of our learners in Lifestyles Sports and Wellbeing. This is part of the school’s health and fitness drive and the enrollments have helped make education fun for all students.

The centre staff have been so very helpful with our learners and have made them feel relaxed and enthusiastic about taking part in the many activities available. All learners have been given their own fitness programs towards a more active lifestyle, each individually designed to suit their own fitness requirements. Colly Whitty and her team; Daryl, Stephen, Chris, Paula, Terry, Patsyanna, and Melhony have all been fantastic so a big shout out of thanks from all of us at Peregrinate go out to this fabulous and inspiring team of people.

Peregrinate will renew memberships each month and will continue to do so until the learner leaves us. Membership entitles our learners to visit all Lifestyle Sports and Wellbeing Centres across Merseyside allowing them to visit during the evenings, weekends and holidays.

Students have all been inducted into the centre and have received individual fitness plans for future sessions. These sessions will be supervised by the centres fitness team with a view to develop fitness levels personally dedicated to the individuals needs and requirements.

Learners have grasped this opportunity with open arms and have enrolled on many courses to help with their own personal development. We have introduced and provide a healthy eating routine and it is great to see students tucking in to salads, pasta and fresh fruit as part of their fitness regime. All learners have been given a food diary and are recording everything they eat and drink for future classes. Parents and carers have reported back that they are delighted with the interest in healthy options their son or daughter is making with regard to food choices and increased exercise.

We have also enrolled all of our learners with Liverpool’s Libraries which allows them to utilise all of Liverpool’s Libraries whenever they need to.
