Halloween at Peregrinate

Halloween at Peregrinate

Learners at Peregrinate had a fun ending to their last week before the October Half Term Holiday. Lessons were based around Halloween themes including Halloween Maths, Halloween English, Halloween Cultural Awareness both in the UK and Internationally and of course Halloween Art & Crafts.

Each learner decorated a Halloween themed sun catcher which is part of the Mexican dia de los Muertos which literally translates into English as the day of the dead. The Mexicans however relate it more a celebration of life. The sun catchers are now proudly displayed above the French windows in our lunchroom.

How can Halloween be complete without a carved pumpkin head? All learners received a pumpkin to carve to their own designs. They really looked the part all lit up on the steps outside. The fun didn’t stop there either as the journey home was very different with scary pumpkin heads throughout the bus.
