Staff Update Paediatric First Aid

Peregrinate Staff Renew Paediatric First Aid Skills

In order to provide the safest possible environment for our students and staff we ran a refresher course on Paediatric First Aid on Sunday 3rd MARCH 2024.

The First Aid Course was provided by Nurse Aid Professional (NAP) Www.Nurseaidprofessionals.co.uk who are established and run by experienced Nurses. Nurse Aid Professionals is a high-quality first aid training company that offers a wide range of regulated qualifications.

The Emergency Paediatric First Aid course is ideal for anyone who cares for infants and children, such as parents, guardians, grandparents teachers or those who have an involvement with infants and children and want to learn key paediatric first aid skills.

This course includes roles and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider, incident and casualty management, CPR, hypoxia, shock, diabetes, asthma, meningitis and sepsis seizure, febrile seizure, allergic reaction and anaphylaxis, poisons, burns and scalds, electric shock, broken bones, sprains, spinal injuries, head injuries, foreign bodies, eye injuries and minor injuries.

Our two trainers Jennie and Kayleigh were fantastic and clearly at the height of their medical skills. Their clear instructions and demonstrations  made the course really educational and enjoyable. The Sunday morning was spent on the training and each of our staff took part on the practical side of each demonstration. It was an instructive day with all staff passing the course and obtaining certificates. One even got 100%!

Finally, as a reward for giving up their Sunday our Director Christie cooked everyone, including the two nurses, a superb roast rib of beef dinner including Yorkshire puddings which was enjoyed by all.

Thank you to Jennie and Kayleigh for a great days Paediatric First Aid training session. Peregrinate School cant recommend this company highly enough. If you need First Aid Training contact Nurse Aid Professional on email: Www.Nurseaidprofessionals.co.uk  or telephone: 07804945573.
