15 Dec This Years Christmas Trips
As a reward for their hard work so far this year students have enjoyed several fun and educational days out around Liverpool. This year we took advantage of the excellent Christmas Market at St. Georges Hall, Cinema Trips, World Museum, and Ten Pin Bowling.
Christmas Market St. Georges Hall
The most wonderful time of the year is finally upon us as the Liverpool Christmas Market has finally taken over St. George’s Plateau and William Brown Street. With the smell of roasted chestnuts, curry-wursts, and Nutella loaded crepes, the festive stalls are drawing visitors in for a cracking Christmas experience. Our students enjoyed everything the Christmas Market had to offer (apart from the alcohol)! For some this was their first experience of a Christmas Market and they described the day as magical.
Ten Pin Bowling
Always a favourite with our learners and good healthy competition takes place every time we go ten pin bowling. The staff at the Hollywood Bowl Edge Lane know us now and are always super helpful and friendly.
The World Museum
This was another first for many of our learners and they found the whole experience fascinating. the great thing about the Museum is that there are lots of hands on experiences to be had. Needless to say our students made full use of them. With so many antiquities, collections, natural history subjects covered, this is a marvellous and educational day out for all ages.
Matilda
Students saw the remake of the popular Matilda, this time as a musical and featuring local actor Stephen Graham. All students enjoyed the film as well as the copious supplies of sweets, selection boxes and ice blasts.
All in all a nice start to the Christmas Break
Great to see Liverpool Christmas Market back @SGHLpool ????????
