Peregrinate School Employs Three New Staff Members

Obviously, we are currently living in uncertain times during the Global COVID-19 Pandemic. Peregrinate School had a very defined plan to expand in 2020 which, although delayed by the pandemic, we have decided to continue with our expansion. To start the new academic year, stage one of those plans involves us employing three new members of staff to enable us to invest further in the future of our learners.

We have employed two new teachers to allow us to develop our delivery and a new administration assistant to further support our team of teaching staff.

Adele completed her teacher training, qualifications and classroom experience with Peregrinate and we liked her so much we have offered Adele a full-time role. She sees young people as our future and is passionate about education and helping students.

Adele has completed a Level 3 Teaching Assistant and her Teaching Certificate. As well as teaching part time with Peregrinate School during the last three years Adele has also taught and covered for many classes at local primary schools.

Adele currently sits on two school governing boards, one primary and one secondary and she holds the position of Chair.

Part of Adele’s career was spent working for Mark & Spencer’s for 12 years which gives her ample experience to be able to deliver our Retail Qualification to learners.

Already Adele says “I love working at Peregrinate as every day is different!  Our learners can be challenging but when you eventually make that break through with them it’s a great feeling for staff and learners alike!  We are a small team but work together excellently and I look forward to seeing and being part of the future growth of our school.

Pauline brings a wealth of experience in teaching as well as mental health and wellbeing skills. As a peripatetic and school-based teacher, Pauline has always been passionate within mental health and wellbeing. Pauline’s background of over 20years experience includes Assistant Team Leader, Youth Worker, Nursery Nurse and Mainstream/ Alternative Education/ Special Educational Needs (SEN). She is a facilitator and coach for wellbeing, working with 5-11+ years. Pauline also enjoys working on computers, reading and listening to music. Already Pauline has formed good relationships with our learners and we are delighted with the progress of both the learners and Pauline already.

Peregrinate has always had a history of offering apprenticeships to young people whenever possible, many years ago we employed Kieran who has worked his way up and is now our Operations Manager. Continuing with this theme we have offered Megan an apprenticeship with Peregrinate. Megan has quickly settled in well with all staff and learners and has shown great initiative and has already improved several of our admin functions in her role of supporting the teaching staff and management.

Megan has always had a passion in learning the different aspects of the business industries and has studied Business Studies at both Level 2 and Level 3 and achieved an overall grade of distinction in both qualifications. Well done Megan! Megan describes herself as hard-working and dedicated to each job role and task that she is given. She has also worked in retail for two years whilst studying for her A-Levels and learnt valuable skills that can be applied to each job.

We look forward to working with Adele, Pauline and Megan moving forward and will work as a company to develop their qualifications and progression academically as part of our continuous improvement program.

Congratulations to all three on being part of our dynamic team! All of us at Peregrinate welcomes you and we hope to have a long and successful journey together.
