Peregrinate Launches Intranet for Learners & Staff

With the latest lockdown threat due to COVID-19 we knew we needed further enhancement to our teaching portfolio. We have a number of learners currently working from home, some because of shielding, some self-isolating, some who are just unable to attend the school environment. Because of COVID-19, we have made the decision that our teachers should not visit learners homes. We already had virtual teaching via Zoom etc. but knew following the last lockdown that we needed something more.

The solution is our own Intranet site: my.peregrinate.school. An intranet is a private network, designed to support our learners and staff to communicate, collaborate and perform their roles as if the learners are in school. Learners have access to interactive online courses, lessons, tests and quizzes. The tests will provide a report at the end of each test to allow the learners to see how they have performed and where scores could be improved. The same report is received by teachers who can continue to monitor learners and contact them regarding results and performance.

Our school Intranet also provides our staff with a central reference library of documents, policies, procedures, teaching materials, qualification standards, marking standards, company logos etc. etc. It also has an editable calendar to record meetings, exams, term times etc.
